On June 23-24, 2017, Record Retrieval Solutions was a proud vendor sponsor who came to Harrah’s Lake Tahoe to support the Consumer Attorneys of California (CAOC)’s Donald L. Galine conference. Here is a review of the event from our perspective, and why we plan to participate in future CAOC events. Representing Record Retrieval Solutions was Chuck Dart, President of RRS, and Ed Colandra, Marketing VP.
Location: The choice of Harrah’s, Lake Tahoe was perfect. Conference rooms were conveniently located close by each other to make it easy for attendees to move from session to session. The food was excellent, coffee breaks delivered needed refreshments, and meeting up with friends and colleagues was abundant. And while Lake Tahoe was a great location, we’re delighted to hear the next event will be in Sonoma, CA, making travel into San Francisco much easier and less time consuming.
Staff: Truly this was one of the best organized conferences we have attended. There were signs that clearly directed attendees to registration, sessions, meals and other activities. There were no long lines or confused attendees trying to figure out where they needed to be for a CLE session. We both agreed that this was purely the support team of Wendy Murphy and Lori Sarracino, who answered each question with a smile and a knowledge of where people needed to go.
Vendor Showcase: At many conferences, planners try to squeeze as many vendors into the space as possible to help offset costs. In contrast, there was plenty of space for each vendor, and a unique comradery developed naturally as we got to know each other during the conference. Many vendors exchanged valuable input on working with CAOC, and we exchanged business cards with each other to further these relationships.
Value: We were very pleased by the attorneys’ interest in our medical record retrieval solution. There was enough time between breaks and during the complimentary cocktail hour to make new contacts, and answer questions about our services and how it benefited Personal Injury attorneys.
Summary: The CAOC Conference was a worthwhile investment in both our time as vendors, and the time the attorneys took out of their weekend to attend. Ed was fortunate to be given permission to attend one of the CLE sessions, and left feeling the material was succinct and valuable to the audience. Given all the above, RRS was delighted we were selected to attend and look forward to next year’s conference.
